Trimlight was established in 2010 by founder Ryan Whittaker, who found himself once more braving the cold of Utah to hang holiday lights for his wife. Frustrated with the annual task of installing Christmas lights only to take them down while they remained encased in ice and snow, Ryan realized there had to be a more efficient solution.

They were resolute in their quest to discover the perfect method for installing permanent lighting, aiming to avoid the need to ascend a ladder in frigid temperatures ever again. They delved into home construction techniques to identify the most effective installation approach. They ruled out any compromise to the roof and gutter system, which ultimately inspired them to create our patented channel solution. Trimlight’s channel system is designed to attach to the fascia, resulting in a permanent, robust, and aesthetically pleasing lighting feature.
